You there. Hello.

Did you want to buy an Oculus Rift? Yes?

Well then. You, potential Oculus Rift purchaser - do I have the news for you. Preorders for the Oculus Rift start on the 6th January. Why, that's tomorrow.

There's still not an official date or even a price for the Oculus Rift but hopefully all of this will clear up tomorrow. Rumours place the device at somewhere in the $500 price range, but hopefully Oculus will stop shipping it exclusively from them so there won't be a customs related sting in the tail.

Presumably these details will be released before Oculus co-founder Palmer Luckey takes part in a Reddit AMA tomorrow to answer questions about the product - so you can fire your burning questions his way.

Pre-orders will receive a copies of both E.V.E Valkyrie (which we loved) and Lucky's Tale (which we haven't played but looks reminiscent of Banjo-Kazooie). You'll also get an Xbox One controller thanks to a partnership between Oculus and Microsoft.

Nvidia recently announced the Oculus Rift is going to need at least a GTX 970 card to function correctly which great for the 870 currently squatting inside my PC and, as a high-end card, probably bad news for a lot of people.

So, is your PC ready for VR? Are you looking to pre-order an Oculus Rift at launch? Let us know in the comments below.
