The latest event is new tournament, sponsored by a popular ISP » Skyline, who are also currently sponsoring the top Ukrainian protoss White-Ra among other » Skyline sponsored gamers. The e-Sport festival will start on Thursday, and go on for 3 days, from the 8th through the 10th. You know how it goes, first local LANs, then national internet service providers, then national telecommunications companies and then the multinationals. Intel here come the Ukrainians!
The organizers have hand picked eight top Ukrainian Brood War players who will compete for a 290$ prize pool, plus paid transportation and hotel stay. The prize will be divided: 160$ for 1st place, 80$ for 2nd place, and 50$ for 3rdplace. The prize money may not look like much compared to a GGL or WCG tournaments, but for a Ukrainian teenager it is well worth his time, especially as everything will be paid for.

As you some of you may have noticed the list includes all the best Ukrainian players, with the exception of one: Rush3D.yAn|mym[S2]. The reason for that is that though he is a Ukrainian citizen, yAn lives in Moscow, and bringing him to Odessa, the place where the tourney will be held is not included by the sponsors. Having said this, a source tells me that yAn has traded with FT_Keeper an invite spot and actually will participate in the tournament, paying his way there.
The event will also have a Warcraft3 roster with similar prize pool and deal.
