Hitbox's signature CS:GO tournament will be making a return later this month with a number of improvements.
On August 17th Hitbox will kick off the second edition of their flagship Counter-Strike event, the Arena Showdown, after a brief hiatus from action. This time around, the livestreaming platform will be putting $2,500 on offer to the eight participating European teams at the event, featuring both previous participants as well as fresh faces.
The event will be played out using a simple direct BO3 elimination bracket over three days. The first day will see the first two quarterfinal matches being played, with the two winners of those matches playing their semifinal the same day. Day two will see the bottom half of the bracket played out similarly, with the best-of-five grandfinals match will be reserved for the final day.
