The match between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Counter Logic Gaming opened the first day at ESL One Cologne. Although the Swedish team came to this match as a clear favourites, the North American squad was dictating the tempo for the majority of this match. This escalated to a 8-7 lead for CLG at the half time which was a decent score by knowing how de_dust2 is one of NiP's favourite maps. However, NiP quickly awoken in the second half taking the control of this match back into their hands. Eventually, CLG couldn't go further than 13 rounds.

This match has brought nothing else than a great performance by the French team, who just smashed the Ukranian squad. Winning the first half 12-3 and following with a quick 4-0 for the final 16-3, we can't really say that FlipSid3 had enough space to show any of their real talents.
