The first European pre-qualifier for the DreamHack Cluj-Napoca, taking place in Romania October 28th - November 1st is finished.

512 teams have participated in the open stage of the first European pre-qualifier for the next major event in Counter-Strike Global Offensive: DreamHack Cluj-Napoca. The pre-qualifier was held from September 5th-6th, featuring a double elimination format where the remaining sixteen teams moved to the closed stage and fought for the two desirable spots at DreamHack Stockholm, where the main offline qualifier will be held.
In the end Copenhagen Wolves and HellRaisers defeated k1ck and SK Gaming locking themselves into the main offline qualifier.
Meanwhile those who made it into the last sixteen teams, but could not close it out, received a second chance in the losers bracket, the purpose of which was to secure two spots for the closed stage of the second European pre-qualifier, which will be held from September 12th-13th. The uprising Danes from team Dignitas and the mostly unknown Swedish team Torpedo won the losers bracket and secured the spots.
