nV wins Dreamhack London
Team EnVyUs have secured themselves their second DH title of this year on Sunday, defeating Danish heavy-weights Team SoloMid 2-0 in the grandfinals match of Dreamhack Open London. The French side put up an amazing show for the audience with almost every member putting up frag movie-worthy plays, especially nV's in-game leader Vincent "Happy" Cervoni, who pulled out one of the most incredible desert eagle aces in CS history on de_inferno. Latest CS:GO update hits
Valve suprised the community this week with one of the biggest overhauls to the game since launch, fixing numerous game-breaking issues such hitboxes, as well as introducing non-critical fixes such as brand new animations for all actions, including weapon-drawing and ladder climbing. ESEA cracks down on gambling
The Electronic Sports Entertainment Association has decided to crack down on the proliferation of gambling-related sponsorships among teams by outlawing players from featuring gambling sites in their team name, the organization revealed this week. Here's an excerpt from the full statement from ESEA:
“We have reached out to all teams who were directly sponsored by these websites and informed them that they needed to change their name. Moving forward, those who chose to accept sponsorships from gambling websites will not be able to actively promote them via the team name or tag. Failing to comply by these rules will result in the team being banned from the ESEA network until they are willing to comply.”QeeYou withdraws from Stockholm
More details are being released as Dreamhack Stockholm draws closer; this week alongside the announcement of the group draws for the Cluj Napoca qualifier it was revealed that the Chinese hopeful QeeYou has dropped out of the event. The decision was made by the team after they were unable to acquire visas in time for the tournament.
