Dreamz Media together with G2A, SteelSeries, Twitch и Egamingbets present the second season of Global Offensive Champions League!
Tomorrow starts the first match of the new season, where some of the best european teams will be fighting for a respectable prize pool, which is now $50,000 – almost 2 times bigger than before! The competitors list includes such teams as Na'Vi, Virtus.Pro, SK Gaming, HellRaisers and others.
Apart from the increased team number from 10 to 16 and the extended prize pool, the format has changed as well: now your favorite team needs to win only 5 matches to become the champion! Or 6, if they lose 1 match in the group stage.
Who will be casting the new season? NiPgaming TV will be working for english-speaking viewers, and Storm Studio will cast the matches in Russian.
Here are some details about season format:
16 teams from European region
Group stage: 16 invited teams divided into 4 groups with 4 teams in each group. The system used will be GSL, meaning that matches of this stage are played in Best-of-3 format. Top 2 teams of each group, advances to the online playoffs.
Online playoffs: Single Elimination Best-of-3. Grand Final and 3rd place Decider are played in Best-of-5 format.
Map pool: Inferno, Dust II, Train , Mirage, Cobblestone, Overpass, Cache
