The first match of group C saw Virtus.pro and Team Liquid fighting in a very entertaining match which eventually went into VP's favour with 19-15.

Group C was opened with the match between Virtus.pro and Team Liquid. We can definitely say that, so far, this is the match of the day. We saw everything we could ask for - an agressive T side play, good defense and an overtime.
Virtus.pro opened the match with a flawless pistol round, where they did not lose a single player to Liquid. Following a fast 3-0 score, Liquid striked back as soon as they hit the buy round. From this point on, Liquid was controling the half with a very convincing lead. In the end, VP managed to close the gap and finish the half with a single round deficit, 7-8.
In the second half we saw Liquid climb up to the 12 rounds mark, when VP started closing that gap once again. Finally, at the 14-14 mark Liquid managed to get the match point and VP only had a half-buy to work with, which eventually lead to a 15-15 score, taking the match to overtime. The overtime was just pure execution for the Poles, as they took all four rounds away for 19-15.
