The CEVO Season 8 LAN finals closed out today with the four initial group stage matches completed. In Group A, Team Liquid fell to a brutal 2:0 smash by Dignitas, with the Danes putting up 16:8 on de_train and 16:13 on de_cobble. In the David versus Goliath match of the night, Virtus.Pro took out Conquest 2:0 after a drawn out 22:19 win on de_inferno in overtime on top of their 16:7 win on de_train.
Group B saw both matches played out in quick 2:0 series; Luminosity made easy work of their French opponents Titan, first on de_cache 16:6 and then on de_cobble with a 16:10 win, and meanwhile, mouseports had a strong performance against Natus Vincere with 16:10 and 16:7 on de_mirage and de_overpass respectively.
