The first day of the iBuyPower Fall Invitational is now over. Get a rundown of the day's matches: who will be moving on, and who will be going home.
The iBP Fall Invitational began today with the group stage of the tournament. In Group A, Luminosity Gaming made quick work of their two matchups against Renagades and Winterfox, beating them 16:0 and 16:5 respectively, and becoming the first team to reach the semifinals. Counter Logic Gaming soon followed the Brazilians, starting out the day with a loss to Renegades but quickly rebounded, smashing Winterfox 16:2, then taking revenge on the Australians 16:10.
Group B saw a relatively straight-foward series of matches with the two favored teams, Liquid and Cloud9, making their way out of the group; Liquid didn't drop a single map while, Cloud9's only loss was to TL on de_cache in a hearbreaking 14:16. The other two teams, Conquest and compLexity had no such luck, with compLexity only managing a single win.
