G2 have managed to secure a two map lead in a BO3 series against CLG, proceed to semi-finals.

The European mix of Gamers2 has managed to secure a spot in the semi-finals of ESL IEM San Jose 2015 after dealing with North America’s Counter Logic Gaming. G2 secured two maps in a row.

The first map of the series was de_mirage. During the first half, the two teams showed an incredible performance, finalising the half at 8-7 in favour of CLG’s CT side. In the second half we saw a mirror score for G2, landing both teams at 15 rounds each. As we dove into overtime, we saw Gamers2 really show their colours and push the Americans aside with a 4-2 overtime score, finalising the map at 19-17 in G2’s favour.

The second and final map was de_cache. In this instance we saw a more dominant performance from G2, where they managed to secure 10 rounds to CLG’s 5 on their CT side. Going into the second half G2’s goals were set and they demonstrated a phenomenal T side, securing the BO3 series and the second half with a 6-2 in their favour. 16-7 in favour of G2, they have paved their road to the semi-finals.
