Christmas and New Year are approaching, it's a very magical time of the year. Dreamz Media together with G2A, Twitch, Egamingbets and FaceIT have decided to do something special. Behold a unique season of Dota 2 Champions League: Christmas Charity Magic!

“What is this Christmas magic”, you may ask. The magic is that this season will be charitable, and everyone will be able to take part. Match format will not be limited to Captain's Mode either. Let's break the monotony of Dota!

But first things first. All the money raised through ticket sales will be sent to Food For The Hungry charity. The first 10,000 tickets will be special, as Dreamz Media and FaceIT will add $2 to the total raised sum for every ticket.

The second feature of this season is that any team can participate in it thanks to online-qualifiers organized by our partners from FaceIT. Every open qualifier match will be ticketed and live on DotaTV.

The third feature is the option to choose the game mode. The teams can decide themselves before the match, which mode they will be playing by crossing out the modes from a list. With a single Captain's Draft there will be no festive atmosphere, right?

We want to share the Christmas spirit, the good and the warmth with those who really need it. Christmas is the time to give, and we will be glad if you join us to make this world a little bit better.

Simon Bennett, Director of Partnerships, FaceIT:

«FACEIT is proud to support charity events all year round but especially at Christmas where it can be especially hard for some. Our good friends at D2CL came to us with an amazing idea and we just had to help to bring you some Christmas DOTA2 cheer!»

Mark Averbukh, COO of Dreamz Media:

«We've decided to do something special for the end of 2015. Christmas is the time when everyone around you is happy, giving presents, spending time with your loved ones. We often forget how lucky we are to be well provided for. For this exact reason we've decided to organize a charity event and help those who need this far more than any of us.»
