From Resident Evil Veronica to Final Fantasy VII: Revelation, this week’s Summer Game Fest 2026 livestream was packed with big reveals. 

The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley’s annual Summer Game Fest livestream has returned for another go this year, delivering a two-hour show packed with trailers and announcements for upcoming video games. This year, we got reveals for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance and Resident Evil Veronica, along with updates on highly-anticipated games like Final Fantasy VII: Revelation and Control Resonant.

Here are all the biggest trailers and announcements you might have missed from Summer Game Fest 2026.

Resident Evil Veronica

Capcom has finally revealed an upcoming remake of 2000’s Resident Evil: Code Veronica, bringing Claire Redfield back into the fray for more zombie-filled scares. The game launches in 2027.

Mighty Cuphead Adventure

An all-new Cuphead game is in the works from developer Studio MDHR, and it will be once again hand-animated. The studio is also working on another project called Mighty Cuphead Adventure, based on Sega Master System titles.

Alien Isolation 2

The Xenomorph is no longer stuck in a space station, and as anyone who’s seen Aliens will understand, that’s bad news for everyone. In this highly-anticipated sequel, the Xenomorph will terrorise a spooky colony outpost.

Shadow of the Colossus and Ico creator Fumito Ueda is returning for this new project: a sci-fi game with large-scale kaiju fights.

Blood Message

Blood Message is an action game set in feudal China, in development from NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment. 

Stranger Than Heaven

SEGA and RGG Studio’s upcoming action-heavy game Stranger Than Heaven boasts a shocking cameo: the late Tupac Shakur will appear in the game, with his appearance being endorsed by Snoop Dogg himself. The game launches on 15 January, 2027.

Dead Astronauts’ first game is an intense first-person shooter that has players explore a world filled with dangerous threats and alien relics. 

Dead By Daylight’s 10th anniversary

This one was a little vague, but we now have a trailer for Dead by Daylight’s 10th anniversary celebration. A bigger reveal is set to roll out on 14 June, 2026. 

Mortal Shell 2

Mortal Shell 2’s open beta is now live and playable.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced

Edward Kenway returns in this new trailer for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake. The game is set to launch on 9 July, 2026. 

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin

PlatinumGames, the developer behind Nier: Automata, Astral Chain, and Bayonetta, are teaming up with Paramount Games to develop this adaptation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin comics.

Gundam: Rogue Orbit

You can fight aliens in this upcoming Gundam game from Bandai Namco Entertainment, launching in 2027.

An Eggstremely Hard Game

This Untitled Goose Game-looking co-op video game has players control two different ducks navigating obstacles to protect their egg at all costs. The game launches on 24 July, 2026.

Crossfire

Game studio That’s No Moon has revealed a single-player Crossfire game, a shooter with supernatural elements. The studio is made up of ex-Infinity Ward and Naughty Dog developers. 

Control Resonant

Control Resonant has unveiled a closer look at its paranaturally-manipulated urban world, ahead of its 24 September, 2026 launch date.

Guild Wars 3

ArenaNet’s iconic MMO franchise Guild Wars is officially getting a sequel, entitled Guild Wars 3. The game is in development for PlayStation 5 and PC.

Now this is podracing! Star Wars Galactic Racer showed off a new trailer this week focusing on its blazing-fast races, prior to its launch on 6 October, 2026. 

End Of Abyss

Developer Section 9 Interactive’s isometric horror game End of Abyss has shown off a new trailer. The game launches on 1 October, 2026. 

Virtua Fighter: Crossroads

The Virtua Fighter franchise is making a comeback. This all-new installment is now called Virtua Fighter: Crossroads, with a trailer showcasing returning fighter Pai Chan. The game will launch sometime in 2027. 

Runescape: Dragonwilds

Runescape’s upcoming MMO spin-off is launching its 1.0 version update on 15 September, 2026. 

Grounded 2

Grounded 2’s next big update, Into The Abyss, launches on 11 August. 

Mafia: The Old Country: Man of Honor expansion

Don Salieri from the first Mafia game returns in Mafia: The Old Country’s upcoming expansion. The expansion is called Man of Honor, and it launches this August. 

1666 Amsterdam

1666 Amsterdam now has a playable prologue on Steam and Epic Games Store, with an early access release set for later in 2026. 

Saw Genesis

Saw Genesis is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game in development from Silent Hill 2 remake maker Bloober team. One player acts as Jigsaw, while three other players attempts to survive Jigsaw’s games. 

The Lords Of The Fallen 2

The Lords of the Fallen 2 showed off new gameplay at Summer Game Fest 2026. 

Star Wars Zero Company

The upcoming strategy game Star Wars Zero Company has shown off a new trailer, featuring its turn-based gameplay. The game launches on 27 August, 2026, and shockingly will also feature Anakin Skywalker. 

The Blood Of Dawnwalker

The Blood of Dawnwalker was always meant to be Bandai Namco and developer Rebel Wolves’ attempt to kickstart a franchise, but we got a better look at the future of that franchise today. This week’s trailer showcased a flash-forward to our protagonist in the modern day, long after the game’s events. 

The game launches on 3 September, 2026. 

Among Us Story: On Guard

Game developer Innersloth has officially announced a single-player spin-off of Among Us, entitled Among Us Story: On Guard.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance

Monster Hunter Wilds? More like Monster Hunter Skies. The beloved action-RPG is getting an expansion entitled Ascendance, featuring the return of two Elder Dragons and new regions to explore. The expansion launches in 2027.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is an open-world Hot Wheels game, complete with city exploration and plastic orange ramps. 

Sonic’s 35th anniversary

Two announcements were made for Sonic’s anniversary: Godzilla and Evangelion are coming to Sonic Racing Crossworlds, and a new co-op multiplayer game called Sonic Pico Park is also in the works. 

Attack On Titan 3

Attack on Titan 3 will tell the entire Attack on Titan story from start to finish, in a playable format. 

Clutch

Game developer Maverick Games, a new studio composed of former Forza franchise developers, is making a narrative-focused driving game called Clutch. The game will launch in 2027. 

Chronicles Medieval

This medieval strategy game has bombastic combat and large armies. 

Sea of Remnants

NetEase’s upcoming pirate game showed off a colourful new trailer this week. 

Hitman: World of Assassination

Hitman: World of Assassination is getting another celebrity cameo in the form of an Elusive Target: Wiz Khalifa. 

Palworld 1.0

Palworld’s 1.0 release has finally been confirmed, with a 10 July, 2026 release date locked in.

The Wolf Among Us 2

The Wolf Among Us 2 has been a long time coming. Its first trailer was released a long eight years ago, but we finally got a better look at the continuing adventures of Bigby Wolf and Snow this week. The sequel will launch in 2027, but there’s some more good news: the original game will receive a remaster in Holiday 2026. 

Stellar Blade Blood Rain

Developer Shift Up’s next Stellar Blade game follows a new protagonist in a different sci-fi city. Despite the sequel’s change in protagonist and setting, the first game’s fluid combat system will return.
