Two tournament events aimed to help teams "sharpen their blades on the new content" before the Heroes Global Championship have been announced.

There have been loads of new balance changes and the upcoming Alarak patch will be massive. Mount speed and mercenary timing changes alone will change the entire ebb and flow of competitive Heroes and with the HGC just months away, many were concerned that professional teams wouldn't have enough major tournament experience to grow accustomed to the changes.
To address this concern Blizzard has announced the Nexus Games, two events complete with unique brackets and a $10,000 prize pool. The top four teams from the HGC North American Fall Regional #2 and the HGC Europe Fall Regional #2 will be invited to each of their respective regions bracket.
But here is where the excited part comes. The Nexus Game qualifiers will give any EU and NA teams a chance to fill out the rest of the 8 team brackets! Here is the proposed schedule so far.
