- Art TvZI started maybe 6 years ago. When all the PC rooms appeared in Korea my friends used to go there every day. I felt like joining them some day, so I went with them. At that point I didn’t know the pro gaming scene at all. I just played Starcraft for fun for maybe 3-4 years. I liked Starcraft; it was very fun to play team games with my friends. Then I got to know about pro gamers such as BoxeR, Ssamjang, Honest and others and decided that I would like to become a pro gamer.
Have you played any other games besides Starcraft?
I have been playing games such as FIFA and Counter-Strike with my friends. But I want to become a progamer, so I decided to play Starcraft. And Starcaft is so fun! Also, I hate to lose to anyone.
What do your parents think of you playing Starcraft?
My parents want me to be a teacher, so they hate that I play a lot of Starcraft.
Who are the best players you practise with?
Hmm, hard to say. I think GGplay and Junwi_[saM]. (Both on the Hanbit Stars team.)
Got any special game you remember well?

Why did you chose Terran as your race? Have you always played Terran, or used Zerg and Protoss before?
Yes, I have played other races back when I played infinity resource maps, but when I saw players such as XellOs and BoxeR play I changed to Terran.

What do you think of foreign players?
Hmm, I think MidiaN is the best Zerg player in Europe. Him and Mondragon. I practise with MidiaN mainly.
When it comes to TvZ I get inspired by XellOs, [ReD]NaDa and IloveOOv. I like BoxeR’s style too, but I don’t think I can play like him.

Have you been trying to join any pro team?
Yes. I have been trying out for PLUS team, but I failed the testing. After some time I joined Hanbit Stars. Although, at the moment I’m at home since I lost my courage match. Most players are at their own homes for the same reason.
How many games do you play every day?
Changing a lot. Minimum 5-10 games and 25-30 games at max. It’s hard to practise.
What Starcraft unit do you like the most?
Hmm... ............... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Uhm.... SCV and Tank. And Marines, Medics, Firebats. Haha. And Vultures. Ya, I like Vultures some too. Hehe.
Hehe, sounds like you like most of them. How about favourite map?
Rush Hour 2, I would say. But I like Nostalgia a lot too.
Do you practise any special maps?
I only practise courage league maps - Neo Forte, Rush Hour II and R-Point. Although, I play some Luna too.
Have you got any special player you like to practise with?
My practise partners in the Hanbit Stars office are mainly GGplay, Junwi_[saM] U-238[GnH] and Special[S.G].
What match up do you like the most?
Terran versus Zerg.

Haha, I haven’t seen a book for very long now. I like books about Korean history though. Always have.

A few foreigners have played professionally in the Korean pro gaming scene. Recent examples are Legionnaire, Rekrul and Assem. However, both Legionnaire and Rekrul stopped playing on a serious level. Do you think a lot of gamers quit and go for another career?
Yes, some do at least. Some gamers have played like forever. BoxeR, YellOw and so on. Although, if BoxeR would quit progaming he would still work with e-Sports in some way, I think. Also, people have to go to the army.
You can still make a comeback after the military service, can’t you?
Well, it’s very, very, very, very hard to do that.
Didn’t Niza do it? He made a comeback and won a TV game against BoxeR, right?
Hmm, yes. Not sure if he went to the army though. I think he only took a break from Starcraft.
At the moment JulyZerg is number one on the KeSPA ranking. Do you think he will be able to stay there? BoxeR hads the record of 17 or so straight months as the number one ranked player. Can July get any close to that?
I think he will stay top ranked for a long time. He practises very well. I don’t think he will be able to continue and stay as long as BoxeR and NaDa has done before though.
Hmm, I think Starcraft is a balanced game. Although, I would like to see a whole new race.
