[s]event[/s]The Swedish website Gamingeye is hosting an online race war in the upcoming week. The popular format that is often used in race wars - King of the Hill-style, is used here. The captains for the different teams recently finished their lineups, which included several surprises, of the oldschool type.
A racewar is a really popular event in almost every community. The Swedish community has had three racewars before, this marks the fourth. GosuGamers hosted RaceWars 2003 at the Internet café Nine in Stockholm, where the Zerg team won. Now the three races will battle once again, only this time online, and with new team members.
German RaceWars cancelled?
A couple of months ago, GosuGamers published a newspost about
» German Racewar, which included some of the very best German players in the three different teams. Many were looking forward to the clash between the three races, but it seemed like it was cancelled, since no feedback has been given at » BroodWar.de.
The people chose the captains
The captain has a very important role, since he will be managing the team and will be choosing the players as well. Before every game the captain must report which five players he will be putting in the lineup. The captains were chosen by the people through a poll, where the Gamingeye Crew nominated a handful. For Terran and Zerg the polls were so close that they decided to share the leadership. It is only the Protoss team that has one captain - Dealer (picture).
