With the cancellation of the ClanBase Nations Cup Season 2, more and more friendly nation wars are being played. This weekend (12th of December) Germany will face the Netherlands in a nation war. Will Germany repeat their 7-0 win from CB? SG.com has talked to Germany's manager BetryaL.
This Sunday, the 12th, the neighbours Germany and Netherlands will clash in a friendly nation war, but after the shocking defeat for Netherlands with 7-0 last time, it's pretty understated that Netherlands want revenge. However, the manager for Germany - BetrayaL (picture) is not so worried. Although he doesn't think that he will win with that big a margin this time.
Last time you beat Netherlands you mutilated them with 7-0, do you think you will repeat it this weekend?
I think the 7-0 last time was a little bit lucky and i don't think that we can repeat something like that but i don't want to say that it's impossible It really depends on the lineups and if we play with the best it think we can do it again.
This will be your second friendly nation war after the cancellation of the ClanBase Nations Cup Season 2. Is this something you do to keep your team up to date and active, or is it just a fluke?
It's definitely no fluke. I want to keep this team alive and active and i think nationswars can be very interesting for the community. It's fun when the your team is reliable. Our next NW will be vs Sweden when your Team is at OptiHack.
Do you think that the community and nation teams need a Nation Cup to compete in?
It's a lot more interesting than "normal" nationwars and i hope something like the 1st Nationscup will come again. And it keeps up the motivation of the team.
Hopefully something similar will come up in the near future, until then we'll have to settle with friendly Nation Wars. Let's get back to the upcoming match; any sneak-peak on the lineup? Any player that's done already?
I can't say exactly who will be playing this sunday but we will play with a very strong lineup again.
What do you expect from the Netherlands? Any player you're afraid of?
There's no special player that i or someone of the players afraid of but if NLD will play with their best players then the one or the other match will be very close.
Which nations do you believe is currently the strongest in the Brood War scene?
Poland, Canada, Sweden. And Germany ;)
