As a sure sign that the wait for the B.net-X server is almost over, the PGTour site has been reopened!

After weeks of waiting for the PGTour to open up again, Pat has finally reopened the PGTour website to the public. No doubt many players will be happy to see the site opened again but will still be missing the B.net-X server. In a brief news post on the site he explains to the SC community why it has taken so long for PGTour to open again. In it he explains that because of the UDP issues that some players are facing he wants to make

"it fair for everyone so that no one gets frustrated because they cannot play on BNet-X while other people can."

Pat is a very dedicated worker and has also got the aid of several linux experts working on the problem. For now the site is opened up again with a few updates since the last time it was up.

When the site loads up you will notice a button on the right announcing $700 in prizes for Season 1 at PGTour.net! The prize money will be divided as follows:

1st Place - $400 USD
2nd Place - $200 USD
3rd Place - $100 USD

The winners of these prizes will go through a very strict process to verify that the winners are %100 legit. Ladder admins from PGT will go through the players entire game log history to make sure there are no ladder abuses. If the player is suspected of using hacks or any cheats they will be disqualified.

This will all start as soon as the UDP issue is fixed. The Ladder Season will last 2 months where after these 2 months, the top 96 players will be invited in a big tournament which will start the ISL (International Starcraft League, a system based on the well known StarLeague from OGN).
