The Toronto Fun League Winter FragFest, sponsored by many companies, finally comes to an end for the StarCraft players as the CS players rage on through the night.

Amongst the large crowd of Counter-Strike players and sponsors launching freebies into the crowd, stands a lone group of gamers ready to play at any time and to show each other their skills. I was given the privilege of taking part in this tournament and to game alongside with these great gamers and the experience was great. There is nothing more hypnotic then the sounds of keys and buttons being pressed and the odd zergling ripping to shreds. However I did go away in this tournament empty handed with a 0-4 record, but it was the experience of a life time to be in a LAN, and to think, only 14 people showed up.

Though small this group of players was full of skill. The format for this tournament was double elimination meaning there would be 2 brackets being played, a winner's bracket and a loser's bracket. The winner that triumphed over everyone else was Paul, in 2nd place was rS.Louden, and in 3rd place was Pride. The prize money that was estimated in the beginning was $240 CDN with a total of 32 players, but since there was less than half of that 1st place winner Paul won $90 and around $200 of merchandise.

[Correction]: Paul's merchandise was:
-$300 Computer Case
-Copy of Farcry (top 3)
-Everglide pad (top 3)
-T-shirt (top 3)

Team oG) takes over LAN Tournament

Using this great event, 4 players that went to the FragFest announced that they were joining Team oG), one of these players being the legend H_Paul_WII. The list of players are:

rS.Pride[tC]
rS.Toronto (H_Paul_WII)
HnR)Alex
HnR)Soda

Their new names are:
oG)Pride[tC]
oG)Paul
oG)Alex_ca
oG)Soda

If you add these 4 players along with the 3 players already in oG) at the LAN, they made up half of the players there, so it is no surprise that 2 of there players made it to the top 3. Also with the 4 new players this doubles the Canadian side of oG).

With all the hype of teams recruiting new members I'm sure many other teams will soon follow and do the same.
