There has been few words about the status of Global Gaming League BW AmeriCup lately, but that does not mean the league has been dead. Actually, the group stage is over, with 16 players advancing to the playoff. Not all players have finished all their games, which hurts no one else than themselves, as they have a harder time to advance. Although, in Group 4, the German player Schnibl0r advances even though he only played 4 games (3-1). The full group standings can be viewed » here, and the advanced players can be seen below;
The playoffs for the first season of AmeriCup will start Friday the 10th of June in the game format Double Elimination. The brackets are not available yet, although they say it will be up soon, so if you are participating, check your e-mail and check the brackets to know when you play.

The long wait is over! The group stage is done, and the 4 players from each of the 4 groups will advance to the Double Elimination tournament. The players left will fight for the total prize money of $4000 in GGL BW AmeriCup!
