A new patch from Blizzard make a lot of people very happy. Nevertheless, there are people who get insanely mad because of replays not working under the current patch. And there are the programmers...

The moment I noticed Blizzard has released a new patch I became very happy. "They actually remember us!" In various comments about it some people explained they were not happy because of the new patch creating problems with replays. I started thinking about the guys programming very useful tools for us. What do they think about it?

superpenguin, Ashur, TravelToAiur, jca and the others have put down a tremendous amount of effort when making the programs they do. As soon as Blizzard make a new patch a lot of that work is for nothing, and parts of the code has to be rewritten. Let me quote TravelToAiur from the GosuGamers news about the patch, to give you a hint about how he thinks about it.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO", TTA left us as a reply when the news post about the new patch came out.

On the PenguinPlug site, superpenguin posted a news post about the current version of PP not being compatible with the 1.13 version of Starcraft. In the post he says he thanks Blizzard for still caring about this old game and that he will spend his weekend working on the new version of PP. "I dont know yet if it will be enough, and needless to say, it will also need some time to test.", he explains. It goes without saying that some of the exploits that the penguinplug tried to protect us from, are now fixed by the latest patch itself.

This is what superpenguin had to say about the matter.

"When I saw all the unpatched known bugs + exploit left when 1.12/b was released, I said 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'! Now with 1.13, I say 'YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS' :)"

I hope other Starcraft application programmers also will update their applications. It is appreciated by all for sure.
