One of the first movies about broodwar I was able to see was A Tribute to Starcraft by the Portugese movie maker TC)BigBaby of the famous, but nowadays inactive clan The Cult. A nice background music and a great selection of fights and pictures made this to a very respectable movie.
Some years later the german guy David "Dyo" Schaack got more and more famous for his movies and several people felt inspired by him and created and published movies by themselves. These movies mostly show the skill of the movie-creators same as the still big activity of the international brood war community.
We recently wrote about some of the lately released movies and today Dyo announces at his homepage that he would like to host a small movie contest. The rules to be part of it are quite simple :
» a movie or trailer with a length of at least ~30 seconds
» about a player or a clan of your choice
» about yourself or your movies
» deadline will July the 15th.
and send it as a .rar or as a .zip file to [email protected]
"Besides honor you can even earn fame and glory...which actually of course means that I sadly can't provide any price money or something similar. I hope you won't be discouraged by that and will take part anyway", states Dyo at his homepage. The winner will be determined by a jury which consists of Dyo, iv`bert from broodwar.de and Raistlin and Mazor from Gosugamers.net.
