Live updates

- 10.58; Games just started around 10.45. The delay was caused of some players who forgot their WCG T-shirts which you have to wear.

11.15; I misinterpreted Gorky's comment about the results of his and Androide's game to 2-0 when it infact was 1-1. They're now playing the final game. We're starting round two of loser brackets now and the third of winners after lunch.

11.23; Ok Blizzy is out now, so is Rushy. We're starting both next rounds at 13.00.

11.43; Androide was just defeated by Gorky, two games to one! Mondragon also managed to beat Shaman on Chow Chow to their score is now equal. "Shit I really have to win now, he's protoss, shit!" - Mondragon about their third game.

12.24 We got a break from now until 13.00. At 13.30 we will begin shoutcast match between Kazio & Christian. Go to gamer.FM to listen to it! Since I'm doing commentary of that match I'm not sure about the live updates but I'll try to get someone on that.

15.05; Back now from stage commentary, I'm hoping you all listened to it. Mondragon won 2-1 versus Gorky there. We're just starting next round of loser brackets now, gonna go observe some I think. Thanks a lot to eXce who helped out doing live updates. Most players have gone away now, only a few left. TreK and Beast will just begin, Androide and Shaman too. Coming full update of this day plus replays and photos later on! Easy going~

3rd day over - reflections and events

As all matches are over for the third day, we're left with a total of six players. Gorky, Androide, Christian, Destroyer, Alfa and Mondragon. They've all fought well - especially the players in loser brackets. Indeed as many of you commented; loser brackets were considered a lot harder today. We saw a number of very good players being put in top of the brackets initially, causing the top side of loser brackets to become incredibly hard. TreK and Beast finished playing moments ago - what a series of games! Very tense with them two playing and almost all the other players of the tournament sitting behind whispering comments to each other. The third game on Khoral caught attention when Beast made gas before his rax. Because of this, TreK attacked early with a dragoon. Beast defended well, trying to defend himself with a bunker and some marines + scvs in the choke. TreK had the initial advantage but as Beast slowly gained more expansions, including his own gas one, the game turned into Beast's favour and he could win the game. We're collecting the replays of all games as of now.

Organization-wise, however, today was a lot better. Everyone was here in time except for a two who had misunderstood the time. We could much easier find keyboards and SEC had invisted in a number of head phones as well so that problem was solved, whereas we could start almost on time.

Just a preview of today's pictures.

Gorky vs Mondragon on the big screen and stream is not matchable with yesteryday's series of games there. They sure played good but both games had quite a good advantage in their respective games meaning it was quite quickly over.

Saturday's matches will begin 10.00 in the morning, still best out of five. The first map of today will be Martian for losers and we will draw a new one for the winners. We did the standard heads and tails coin trick today to decide which map to be played when. Make sure you check out today's photographs later tonight, I find most of them quite good.
