Here comes another of our popular Rated Replays, this time taken from the OGCL league. It stars ToT)Sen( and iD.ret, playing a very nice game. The battlereport is made by our old editor Texas, who has joined us once again.
This replay features an OGCL game between ToT)Sen( and iD.ret on Into the Darkness. Ret starts at 2o'clock position, opening the game with 2 Barracks followed by Academy and Factory, while Sen spawns at 7 o'clock position and opening the game with second Hatchery on his expansion and third Hatchery in main. A couple of scouting Lings get killed quite soon by some M&M's walking straight to Sen's expansion.
At about 10 minutes in, Zerg starts first serious attacks with some Mutalisks, harrassing the main of Terran, beeing able to kill a Science Vessel and doing some damage on several units. Now Terran starts to take his expansion, secured by several Turrets and a Bunker, completing his ever growing army with a lot of M&M's and some Science Vessels, while Zerg takes more expansions, finnishes his first attack and amor upgrade for Hydralisks and goes for some first attacks with a bunch of Lurkers and Mutalisks, who get killed by the Terran army.
Both players keep rebuilding their army's after several little attackings, until another big battle is going to start about 17:20, in which Zerg is going with a lot of Hydralisks and some Lurkers, 2 armor and 1 attack upgrade done, against the Terran forces consisting of 30 Marines, 2-2 upgrade done, supported by some Medics and Tanks. A clear victory for Terran due his nice micro and his smart puttin-up of his army, which makes him able to encircle the Zerg units.
The game continues with expanding, destroying enemy expansions and some final lethal battles in which Zerg goes for mass Lings and Defilers, due his low gas-economy and his high mineral economy (about 7000). After several well-placed Dark Swarms and a nice drop in the Terran main, Sen is able with Ultralisks (5-3 upgrade) supported by Hydralisks (3-2 upgrade) and Lings (3-3 upgrade) to destroy the remaining Terran expansion and units. Ret quits. GG!
