The Universal Gaming Tour (UGT) is a software-based ladder that you download and install, programmed in Java. If you are a die hard vanilla StarCraft fan and you're looking for some action, this is a good choice.
The UGT was created by Darktiger, Sadist and Bobthefish all three from the clan [WoA] from the U.S West server. It was first meant to work as a league for U.S West Brood War players, but it died quite fast, since there are so many other leagus and/or ladders with the same purpose. After a couple of months with no activity the management behind it came up with the idea to bring the UGT to the original StarCraft people. This was mostly because the vanilla StarCraft players did not have a legit ladder to play on, since WGTour cancelled their original StarCraft ladder for quite some time ago.
The 28th of March 38 players signed up and for four hours a number of 109 games were played. They are striving for around 100 signed up players for the first season that lasts 26th of June 2005. As of now the ladder has 58 signed up players who have a record. "If everything goes as planned, this will be a huge hit for the SC gamers." says iRk-AgGe, UGT administrator and organizer.

You do not need to log in to a specific or private server as this program doesn't change starcraft in anyway. All you need to do is find the official UGT channel on each server to find an opponent. This ladder can be played on any server versus anyone, providing they are registered on the ladder.
