If you thought StarCraft had enough tournaments, leagues and cups you were wrong. There is always room for one more. Earlier today WGTour announced their new upcoming weekly tournaments - Friday Night Fights. Read on.



WGTour, originally a ladder-only site has grown a lot since they first started. By hosting their popular clanleague, nation war ladder and much more, they are one of the most popular StarCraft sites around. One thing they have been missing are regularily tournaments such as BW4Ever Kerrigan Cup, inCup for WarCraft III and similar tournaments.

First one this Friday 18:00


Now, they are launching a new upcoming event that will be held weekly. It is a tournament they like to call Friday Night Fights. It will be held every Friday, alternating 18:00 one week and 22:00 the other, to give both Americans and Europeans a chance to take part. The first one will be held April 22nd at 18:00 CET at op WGTour @ Europe. It will be a 16 or 32 man single elimination tournament depending on how successful it is.

New map styles every week


For each week, different map styles will be chosen. Examples WGTour bring up themselves in their newsposts are WCG maps, Korean League maps and Mystery Map Invitational. This week the map style is 2v2 only meaning "all maps are 2 player 1v1 maps" says Dknight over at WGTour.

4th Round: WGT12-Enter the D 2004
Finals: WGT12-Ride of Valkyries
