The fourth week of GGL gave us a couple of interesting and exciting results and games. Four games were put on hold and will be played at a later time, while one game - ToT)Twisted( won due to walkover by Zazu(GN). Many of the matches are players from the same nation are facing eachother, which PuertoRican early on said was done because of the help of timezones but also of a coincidence, as everybody will face eachother. The Chinese player LinYu)PJ (pic) who is many people's favourite in this league won against iD.Squall 2-0.
Just as last time, the player who beat FroZ was interviewed by PuertoRican afterwards. Last time it was inControl, but this week it was Artosis (pic), who played in WCG'04 in San Fransisco. He did not advance from his group and had to settle with only one win against TiQ.DanY. In GGL however he is doing better. In the interview he says that he feels good, even a bit sexy after winning against FroZ. "I was pretty confident, as my TvT on Gaema and Guillotine is really strong" he tells. He also reveals that he did not practice anything before hand other than his regular play, as he felt very confident in his TvT play.
He lost the first game, but then won two straight games, much thanks to FroZ choosing Protoss on Guillotine and Gaema Gowon. For the third game, Artosis felt that FroZ was to attempt to cheese. "I felt that he was cheesing me, so i sent out my scv to scout all the hidden spots." he says, and tells that he saw the Stargate and then knew he would beat him fairly easy.
In the interview they talk a bit about World Cyber Games and United States, how the skill level have decreased a bit in the late years. "I think that right now it is lower. Rekrul, ArtOfGlory, and Sadist don't seem to be very active this year." But he also mentions that Day, FroZ and himself are really strong at the moment. Artosis tells PuertoRican that he sees himself as one of the most likely aspirants to one of the WCG USA spots. "The battle for the top spots i believe will be between myself, Froz, Day9, possibly Sadist, and Assem if he comes back."
