Not many people had predicted the mysterious yan_ukr to win the brackets of the Team Liquid Tour, and in fact he was a 3 to 1 underdog in GosuBet for his first meeting with Assem in the winners' bracket final. In the end, however, He was able to emerge victorious without once stepping into the losers' bracket. This incredible showing earned Advokate a $1000 prize, and we sat down with him for a few words about the tournament.
First the obvious questions: Name/Age/Location

What made you choose the name "yan_ukr" for playing in the TLT ladder/tournament?
-It was the idea to get alot of money playing alot accounts - and getting all of them to top32 :) problem was - it failed :( yan_ukr is one of my account - it was made for real yan (ukraine - SW)55) but we'd changed accounts - to be more harder to find who is who - it was made versus replay analyzer lovers etc...:)
How was your path to the finals? Did you feel your opponents were easy or hard?
-It was not hard... My best mu - is tvt and tvp - and tnx to stinger and assem - i didnt meet zergs in my way . if there were some , it could be more harder :o
That leads to my next question. You seemed to play very well against Assem terran vs terran, would you say tvt is your best matchup?
-yep, it is! i wasnt even 100% with my tvt there - coz i didnt played these maps a lot... for example - if we played at wcg maps - i could manage to win without losing a game ~~
You have done well in previous WCG appearances. Do you plan to participate in WCG 2005?
-yep.. wcg is #1 target for me
How do you plan to spend the $1000 prize you won?
-keke , well first of all - i will share some money with SW)55 (yan) - he was near with me all these games - :) then... hm i still dont know ... to tell the truth its not very big amount of money - russia isnt so poor as some guys think , and at wcg russia u can earn much more. well, i dont know yet :o
