PGTour.net was released the 14th of October 2004 and has since then been a very popular ladder where the simplicity and skill level has been two of the best and most appealing features. Implemented with an anti-hack launcher, although that has been proven hackable by the best programmers, it 99% guarantees a hack-free community. In the beginning many belived that it could not rival with the WGTour ladder, but they have been proven wrong. During eight months, PGTour has had over one million of games played, which is around 33% of the total games WGTour has collected over five years.

Now PGTour.net has grown into an extremely popular site and gateway where a total of 94576 are registered members of the site, and where around 6000 games per day are played. Pat, Chr1s, TiLaser and Gybs or the Fantastic Four as they are called by some, were the ones who got it all started, but has now more crew members who are helping out their best. And why do they do it? They do it for you. They do it for the community, for the competition to still be kept alive in StarCraft: Brood War, the game which is like a fine bottle of wine - it gets better by the ages.

Last Sunday, the ladder, gateway and game server known as PGTour reached over a million games played. PGTour's server called BNet-X has been around for eight months, and has now reached a number of 1 022 090 games played. To put this into perspective, the very popular WGTour ladder has 2 978 618 matches, but has been around for around five years.
