Tonight a tournament named "Tuesday Bengalaas Brawl" was held by GosuGamers. Almost 80 players registered for it, if I do not mistake myself. That was a quite high number since we have had no news about it and created it only a day or so ago. Although, when it was time to confirm the participation only 32 players did so. That meant a 32 player tournament. No auto wins, and surprisingly not a single W.O. in the first round.
The first round started out pretty good. As I said, there were no W.O.'s or anything. Although, there were osme problems with players not being able to joining each others games. But it worked out after a while, and everything went on. Well, almost everything. There were some marathon matches making us wait for what felt like an eternity. Anyhow, it went forward very slowly and everything went fine.
There was a long game in the first round that was going on when basicly everyone left in the tournament were on the fourth round. The third and last game between Stereo and AutumnZerg_79, a Zerg versus Terran on Paranoid Android. It was around 40 minutes long when a disconnection occured. The players were not agreeing on who was going to win, and then the rules say an administrator, which in this case would be me, should take a look on the replay. So I did, and I had to give the win to AutumnZerg_79. I would like to thank Stereo for acting very well mannered about the decision. It's always hard to disappoint someone. Thanks a lot for taking it cool.
It took a lot of time waiting for some players, and when we finally got to the second semi final to start time was 23:40 CET, nearly four hours hours after everything started. Well in the final one Protoss player and one Random player will fight it out best out of 5 war. Since it has taken so long, we decided to host the finals tomorrow at 20:00and add a GosuBet to it. The players are BlueSky[pG], also known as Clawson, and pRoToSs_uSers. A GosuBet has been added, so go cast your votes!
A big congratulations to the both players for getting to the final of the tournament, and a huge thank you to everyone who participated. Despite the time it took everyone behaved good. Keep an eye on the tournament section. Who knows when a new tournament pops up the next time?
