The Starcraft scene in Latin America is burning! After Lan-Z championship early this year, which we still have to make a feature for, now a new event is up for the Latin American teams.

Yesterday Mister-X announced the first Lan-Z Clanleague for Starcraft. This event will begin in january, after the subscription period which will take the next two weeks, until december 27th.

Here a quote of Mister-X post at Hangarnet forum:
Lan-Z is proud to present their first StarCraft BroodWar ClanLeague. Lan-Z is a chilean e-sports company and gaming page (www.lan-z.net) who organized past CPL World Tour Stop Chile (Lan-Z Championship 2005) with a StarCraft Tournament of 5.000 dolars where Odin[SomE] was the champion. Lan-Z is also the chilean Counter-Strike Clanleague organizer, which is now in their 10 season.

This time Lan-Z will focus their efforts once again to the chilean and Latinamerican StarCraft comunity with this great ClanLeague. The inscription for teams and players is open for two weeks and the league system consist of a first group stage and the play-offs. The clanwars consist of 5 1v1 and 2 2v2 games and the maps are not definet yet.

Every team of the world is invited to take part, but this invitation is mainly for the Latinamerican Teams, because of timezones and the language (Lan-Z site is in spanish).

This is such a great news for Latin America community once it seems to be the biggest clan league ever organized for them. So, if you have a team and wish to be part of it and have enough knowledge in Spanish language, go ahead and send your application in the link below.
