The Catalunya Cup 2006 took place last sunday in the same Internet cafe that hosted the 2005 WCG premliminaries for Catalunya. This was the third edition of the cup.

The top 4 of each group qualified for a double elimination. Number 5 and 6 in each group qualified directly for the losers bracket. Play.Alfa went through his group undefeated and then lost only 1 game on his way to the Grand final which he won 2-0 versus Kasins.



In the end, the top 3 looked like this:

Mikoel 15€

Also Marinator won a ZyXel router for best game of the tournament. That game was a Zerg vs Zerg on Luna versus iG.Squall.
