News regarding the Nordic countries number of players in StarCraft to be sent to Monza, Italy, is as interesting as ever. Though it seems we can still only hold our thumbs that it's going to happen.

As several of you have already noticed, the dates of WCG Nordic 2006 for WarCraft III has been announced and four spots have been announced. But what about StarCraft?

The preliminary should have been planned and organized several months ago. However, WCG Nordic 2006 recently changed organizers and the new ones were quickly put into action to manage things. GosuGamers have a very good contact with the new organizers of IQ Promotion, yet the problem is financial.

WarCraft III may be bigger in the non-Korean scene, yet what many with us ask is if it deserves four spots while StarCraft gets none? And can the WCG truly name it's StarCraft winner the World Champion if several players with a possibility to win are not attending?

We know many are interested in helping out and as you know, we at GosuGamers always struggle to enable the preliminaries. Nevertheless, this year's player license costs an ever bigger fortune than last year - plus travel costs!

If Samsung fails to cover up for the extra money that is needed, we believe that covering up for the expenses of hosting the preliminaries plus paying for licenses and travel costs is not a quite so smooth task.

Will Samsung, main sponsors of World Cyber Games, once more undermine it's own tournament by failing to prioriate StarCraft in the Nordic countries or will spots be announced soon? The upcoming days should tell us the answer.
