A Scandinavian tournament with 4 players from each of the participating nations will take place in the near future. Will Sweden prove they are the bigger brother, or will some of the other nations step up and show the Swedes how to play?

WGTour's event people are working hard these days, providing all of us with different tournaments, matches and so on. This time they have come up with an idea to finally sort out a question many are not sure about. Which of the Scandinavian countries is the best when it comes to Starcraft?

The Scandinavian Tour will help us to finally be sure of which of the Scandinavian countries of Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland actually is the best. In a type of tournament where one player from each country will be put into a group, resulting in four groups with four players in each, for those of you not very strong in maths. The groups will have a round robin, everyone plays each other once in a best out of three match, and the two players finishing first and second will move on to a double elimination tournament.

Finishing first in the group will result in the country receiving two points, while ending up second will give your country one point. This first stage will be played on the Saturday of February 24th. As mentioned the top two players move on to a double elimination tournament. It will take place on Saturday March 3rd.

In the second stage tournament eight players will battle it out. A win in the first round of the winner bracket will give the country for which the player plays 1 point. A win in round two gives 2 points, in round three you get 3 points. In the loser bracket it works pretty much the same way. First round 1 point, second round also one point, third round 2 points and fourth round 3 points. In the grand final of the tournament the winner will get 4 points to count into the nation’s total sum.

The map pool used for the event will consist of five more or less well known maps. Tau Cross, Arcadia, Reverse Temple, Blitz X and Longinus II. GosuGamers wishes both WGTour and the participating nations good luck in the event.
