First up was MYM.Sen (picture). When asked if he was in good shape, he replied by saying that because he only played BWCL and other events of the kind recently, he is probably not in great shape. He does, however, believe that he has a good chance to advance.
When asked about his favorites, he said that he thinks that ToT)Mondragon( is the favorite to win this league, adding that he definitely holds the skill to go all the way. He would also rather not see a Zerg qualifying through, as he is not too confident in his matchup against Zerg.
Next in line was iG.Bruce. He did not share Sen's optimism about getting out of his group with ease, as he says that ToT)Mondragon( is a terrifying opponent, especially in PvZ. He is also concerned about playing Artosis[Media], as he feels that Artosis knows his weak maps and his style well.
Bruce mentions a lot of favorites, saying MYM.Testie, IdrA[Media], MYM.Sen, ToT)Mondragon(, xLo.White-Ra and MgZ)Oldy are the favorites. He is happy with the support he has been getting from his Russian countrymates, saying that two thirds of the active users support him. A lot of friends will help him to practice for the league.
The last person interviewed today is Skew[Media]. Sharing the positivity of Sen, he says that he thinks he'll most likely pass. He holds a positive record against ToT)XiaoZi(, but he is unsure against iG.Arcneon. He said that he watched a replay of him and was impressed by his matchup against terran, and he will practice TvP a lot to beat him.
When asked about favorites, Skew said he had no clue, noting that there is no foreigner far ahead of the rest in the scene, and that the top players could take it on a good day. He also does not think that there is anyone truly being underestimated, except that NaW-Mireille might be. He is unsure about this though, as he has never seen him play.
Reminder: If you wish to play in the league, you can give it a try by playing in one of the qualification tournaments! Anyone is allowed to participate. Simply register at one of the links below.
