The evergrowing StarCraft scene of Vietnam made headway by having the first sponsored StarCraft league in Vietnam. The league started just some days ago with the first play day and six teams are contesting for the first rank, worth around $500. Read more details below.
Our Vietnamese member Minh Duc Vo Pham informed us that a Vietnamese StarCraft league with prizes started just some days ago. Six teams got their seeds in the "Tan Thai Binh Champion League" which is the official name of the league sponsored by Tan Thai Binh company. The winning team of the league will recieve $500 and a champion cup, the runner-up team recieves $100, the team ranked third recieves some valuable rewards from the sponsor. These are the players participating in the league. Many of the players might be unknown, though there are some quite known players among them. A_Ngoc is probably one of the known players as he won the "King of Vietnam Tournament" including $25 prize money and he achieved high ranks at PGT. The league will be covered nicely: the three biggest gaming computer magazines PC World Game, Viet Game, Echip and the leading gaming site Gamethu.net will bring coverage for the Vietnamese scene. The mappool consists of five maps: Luna, Lost Temple, Arcadia, 815 and Gaia. GosuGamers wishes all teams good luck.
