The Grand Final in the StarCraft at DreamHack Winter 2006 has finished. With over 300 spectators in the gaming arena, DaZe could be seen winning against Mireille with 3-2.
The tournament was a big success, and the ones seeded first and second ended up in the grand final. Both players have been in DreamHack finals before. DaZe became runner-up in the summer event, losing to Draco. Mireille has played in two DreamHack finals, winning once, and ending up second as well.
With Mireille leading 1-0 coming from Winner Bracket, DaZe was very focused on winning the first game so his uphill struggle would not be too steep. By claiming the first match he evened out the score, played on Rush Hour. Second game was won by Mireille on Gaia. The third and fourth games was a bit shorter than the other ones, much thanks to DaZe attacking early on with a well executed tank and vulture rush.

GosuGamers asked DaZe afterwards what he was intending to do with the prize money, and he said:
- Perhaps buying christmas presents! He was very happy with the win. There were also spectators who wanted DaZe's autograph signed on their shirts.
