A very unexpected forfeit made by Ukraine, left Sweden with two planets, and removes the Ukrainian flag from the Galactic Conquest.



Only first game was played, the Swedish Protoss NaW-datoby versus MannerToss for Ukraine. After winning that game, the Ukrainians decided to forfeiting the rest of the games, which means that Sweden walks out of the match winning Mar Sara and Ukraine being out of the whole tournament. Strelok, the team captain for Ukraine said this in a WGTour comment:

WE 1-0 Sweden, Mannertoss won and they had no more players, so we resheduled. However it doesn't matter, we forteit rest of matches, cause of some inside problems in team. As leader i feel, we're not ready for serious matches now, so i do not want to low reputation of Ukraine and decided to forteit tour.

The next round of the tournament have been reached, with only three nations left. Each nation will face the other two in a nation war with seven best out of three matches. The two teams with best results here will face each other in another match of the same format. After that we will have the winner of the Galactic Conquest! Sweden will face USA somewhere between July 1st and July 21nd, USA versus Russia will be played between July 22nd and August 11th and Russia will play against Sweden between August 12th and September 1st.
