The first of two qualifier tournaments for the Qpad sponsored Cup was played tonight. 29 teams signed up but only one could take the first qualifier spot. Let us see how this story ends!
Each team got to pick one player for the qualifier tournament. If the player won, the team would get the spot, if not they would have to try again in the next tournament. All matches except for the grand final were played in best out of one games, and the final was best out of five.

redCode.X-Fi LzGaMeR[rC]Out of the 29 teams in the tournament, these four semifinalists made it this far. LzGaMeR, or LordZerg, took one of the finalist spots. The less well-known MOJ from Team Chile took the last, and the final game of the tournament began. The first game, played at Longinus 2.0 ended up with MOJ winning, and Tau Cross 1.1 was picked as the next map. After another Zerg versus Zerg, which also ended up in favour of MOJ, LzGaMeR tried with Protoss, but that didn't help him one bit: the last game on Peaks Of Baekdu 2.4 was won by the Chilean. We have our winners; (CHILE) will take place in the QCup.
The second tournament will take place at 18:00 CET next Wednesday. The registration should have gone up after the first tournament ended, and it is, links are below. It is also said that the first round of the actual cup will be played either on the 11th or the 18th of July, more information about that will be poster later.
