The Swedish National team has lost their winning streak lately, and with a lot of inactive players they really were in need of some new blood. And they got it. Team SWE captain Raistlin answers five questions about the Zerg player Gauisus.

Gauisus at DreamHack Summer 07When did you see him the first time? and started considering him?
- He has been a longtime member of the team Nerds at Work, and he has been an upcoming player for quite a while. We had our minds on adding him to Team Sweden for quite a while but when we saw him at DreamHack and we had a chat with him, we decided that he was Team Sweden material.
2He plays Zerg, did you pick him because of the lack of good Zerg players in the team, or was it more that you saw him and felt you just had to have him in the team?
- We have Haypro and Habit in our team who are two very good Zerg players. We did not really think of Gauisus as a Zerg player per se, more of a great an innovative player that would fit the team. Though we have been over represented in Protoss and Terran lately, so a Zerg player is always good to have in the ranks.
3He has four wins in the GosuGamers Database, but most of the players he won are people we've hardly seen anything off. How did you decide he was worthy of a spot in the team, what makes him the upcoming player you talk about?
- Seeing as how he has been a solid player for Nerds at Work for almost two years now, and seeing as how Nerds at Work are in the highest division of WGTCL he has a lot of potential, with great team mates such as datoby, ZpuX and Mireille. He is also one of the "new" players in Sweden. Sad but true, more and more of the old players who used to carry Team Sweden on their shoulders are inactive and not playing their best. That's why we need some new blood to the team, to be able to cope with big matches with a high number of 1on1 matches.

Team Captain RaistlinHow do the other players think of him, did you discuss it together with them before he joined up?
- We have a couple of players that we have in mind to join our team, and Gauisus was one of them. Most of the national team members have a good insight in the community, and the majority thought he was a perfect choice.
5When will he play his first Nation War for Sweden??
- We have a match in the Galactic Conquest pending, where we will play 7 1on1 matches. He might be in the lineup by then, it depends on the situation. We have many strong players in the team that could fill up seven spots, but when it's summer time most of our players spend more time at the beach than in front of the computer screen, which is understandable. But both me and Zoxxer are eager to let him make his first appearance with the [SWE] tag.
