WGTour's nation competition the Galactic Conquest has been played for a while, but now, finally we have a winner. The winner, surviving all others, is Russia.

CanadaStarting off there were eleven nations, all handed a planet each. As every planet had different tilesets, there were also different maps for each nation to play when they got attacked. Every week a nation announced three players to attack another nation's planet. The defending nation picked three defending players, and the winner of the war got the planet. When a nation had no planets left, they were out of the competition.
As you can see, there were a lot of considerably good nations in the conquest, and as time went by, more and more nations got eliminated; not too long ago there were only four left. With Ukraine forfeiting because of their national team's lack of activity, they left us with Sweden, hosting two planets, USA, hosting five, and Russia, hosting four.
With those three nations, the second round of the tournament, the Mercury, was reached, and to settle the winner, the three had to play each other in a nation war with seven 1on1 matches. The two best teams would after that face each other and then we would have the winner of the Galactic Conquest!
But the round-robin did not make it all the way through. The problem came with Sweden taking on USA. Although they did play, the score never got higher than 2:1 to USA, and as none of the team were able to continue the admins decided to give Russia the win, which means they now own the Galaxy.
