The Nordic Clan League has played another season, and as many of you already know, it is the two big clans from Sweden who will fight for the first place. The final is to be played tomorrow evening.
The two finalists, Nerds At Work, NaW- and Team Brood War, BW- are the two biggest clans from Sweden at the moment and it is not a big surprise they are the two teams playing in the final. They both had a nice season, just losing one match each, NaW to BW and BW to tNB (the Norwegian Barrier) and now it's time to see who will take this last one home.
The teams have played each other eight times before over the last three years and last time it was in this very season of NCL. So far NaW have never defeated BW and the last time BW made it clear they still want to have it that way.
But Mireille, playing for Nerds At Work, says that this time it might be different. He still thinks there is a chance, even if BW have beaten them so many times before. ZpuX from BW the other hand, is not so sure about that. He still thinks BW has the stronger lineup, at least for now.
- It depends a little on who meets who, but BW has won 8-0 before, and I think they'll win again. He also tells us about his change of clan, which can make a difference in the next matches versus NaW. He's actually joining up with NaW for good after this match.
- We'll meet again in the WGTCL and maybe the outcome will be different then, with me playing for NaW, he says.
According to Mireille it's ZpuX that it is who makes the result so unpredictable.
- I believe it will be a 3-2 or 2-3 result this time but to be honest im not confident enough to risk an all-in on my team, especially when we have to face ZpuX instead of having him on our side fighting for us.
Both players agree who the top players in the two teams are at the moment. Both think it will be them playing, and even though the teams are close friends, there is still a lot of rivalry between the teams.
- Our one versus one lineup as it looks like right now will be following players; datoby, Mireille, Gauisus and RataN, says Mireille. ZpuX isn’t sure about the lineup in BW, but he thinks it'll be himself, HayprO Down and Dewa/Gurram playing.
To finish it off we asked the players how they think it will go for NCL, as the head admin of the league, mouse left the staff and the site, after being inactive for a while; they both tell us the same thing: NaW wont be in it next time, so they don’t really know.
