GosuGamers' first WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne tournament has ended, and the winner is none other than Ai96.WaweR. In the finals he faced g0rdo and won 3-0. GosuGamers took a chat with the winner afterwards.
After a start which caused some hosting and lag problems for some users, the tournament went on fairly okay afterwards. A number of 13 players took part, meaning there were four rounds to go through to win the tournament. Unfortunately, a couple of players forfeited their last games, spreading happiness to their opponents instead.

Although he was defeated by g0rdo in the semi-final which made the Puerto Rican to advance to the final, where Ai96.WaweR was waiting. WaweR also turned out to be the one winning the final match (played best of five) with 3-0. Would you be kind of introducing yourself to the readers?
- My name is Karol Wawryszuk, and I'm 18 years old. Orc player from Poland.
What do you think of the competition today? Any troubles on your way to the top position?
- There weren't many good players (there weren't many players at all ^^) but I had some hard games, like last game in the tournament, an Orc versus Undead game, which is my worst matchup.
How come you signed up for the tournament? Are you a frequent GosuGamers visitor? (considering our WC3 section is a bit young)
- Heh, I've visited GG.net like 10 times before, because I'm kinda interested in SC scene and it's good source of info. I've read news about the tourney by accident, as I was reading some SC news. I've decided to create an account, and register for it. I was kinda lucky beacuse I did it about 5 mins before tourney started.
Oh, and it was today, when I noticed wc3 section on GosuGamers, and after reading some news there, I must admit that it's not bad (added to favourites) ^^.
Did you expect tougher opponents when registering?
- I`ve seen Boo on the registered players list, and it suprised me a bit, but unfortunately he eventually didn't attend in tour. I hoped for some fun and practice, and that's what tour has given me ;)
Will you take part in future tournaments hosted by us?
- Yup, I guess. It was my first 1on1 tourney which I won. I was mainly 2on2 player for 2 years, playing with my Night Elf ally - bogoos. Anyway, I liked winning 1on1 a lot and want some more! :> I only hope that there will be more players attending than today.
