After an intense weekend, the WEG European qualifiers are finally decided. DIDI8, ElakeDuck, SaSe and Wolfy will be representing Europe in WEG Season 3! Their way there was not exactly a dance on roses...

The show is over. The Southpoint Net Café in Stockholm was hotter than ever as the very best of Europe in WarCraft III and Counter-Strike were there with the hope of qualifying for the prestigious tournament WEG Season 3. Southpoint Net Café is a very modern café, and has a lot of special featuers. Medieval sections, futuristic sections which you are placed in depending the game of choice are only some of the nifty features. Although, for WEG Season 3, the WarCraft players were seated in the "Poker Lounge", ironic, no?

Four players cancelled, three went in

11 players finally made it to the offline finals. Three of the initial players ( Envious, Satiini, Paladyn and Giacomo) cancelled their participation, which opened up for King.Crimson, Tharkas (pic) and Vank0r to take part. With this uneven number, Group A consisted of 6 players, where in Group B only 5 players were put in. Despite the drop-outs, the roster of players included the top players in Europe. All players faced eachother in each group, meaning a total of five matches in Group A and four for Group B. From there, the Top 3 in each group moved on to the playoffs. And here is how the groupstage table concluded:
