One of the two playdowns will occur today, and it is one hell of a nailbiter - plan-B Sweden goes up against verGe Gaming! Starting 19:00, GosuGamers will give you a heads up on what is going on from plan-B's point of view, with an interview with their leader ChrisS!
Playdown, it is called. The four bottom teams of the WC3L 8 regular season will battle against eachother to stay put in the WC3L Season 9 without having to partake in the qualifiers. The losing teams in the playdowns will be wildcarded in the qualifier, and will start their qualifier in the second round. And today, we will see two clans clash, where one will be moving down to the qualifier, and one stay put. Tonight's teams are two teams a bit short. Both have gone through changes, both good and bad.
plan-B Sweden - coming off short
GosuGamers reported about a month ago that plan-B sweden were suffering from players leaving the team totally or going inactive. This caused them to withdraw from the Nordic Clan League, however they were still a part of the WC3L. In that round, they lost two of their top Swedish players GlaiveGuy and LiiL.D.C. However, some players have come back, and even if their team does not look as strong as before, they should be able to give verGe Gaming a tough match.
Interview with plan-B|ChrisS
GosuGamers grabbed hold of the leader of plan-B Sweden - ChrisS (picture) and asked him a couple of questions about the upcoming clanwar tonight.
It has been quite a turbulent season for plan-B Sweden, and now you're down in the playdowns in WC3L against verGe Gaming. How do you rate your chances of staying put in WC3L?
- Yes it has been, at least in the later part of the season. We still have a team though and I think we can win this clanwar versus verGe today.
If you were to lose this clanwar, it will surely be a long way back. Would plan-B be able to make it in the qualifier tournament?
- If we would run quallies with this team we have right now we might want to add some few recruits and then I think we would qualify, yes.
Any special weaknesses you have found in verGe Gaming that you will take to your advantage?
- Just as us, verGe doesn't have that many players in their team at the moment, so that's both teams weaknesses. And hopefully the matchups will turn out for our advantage =) Since we finished 7th and team verge 10th we picked the maps for this clanwar.
