16 players battled it out in the suburbs of Paris - Trappes for two spots for the ESWC 2006 Grand Finals. After a group stage with 16 players played best of one eight players qualified themselves for the playoffs. In the group stage, top players as Chobo and Sayen were eliminated, however the overall favourite, France's finest 4K^ToD came out undefeated. Also, GG18-Wolf (picture), WEG3 representant made it through the group stage. And in the end it was these two that were to play the main parts, as they faced eachother in the Grand Final.
ToD wins the Grand Final after winning two games at Echo Isles and at Terenas Stand. This marks the fourth player from Four-Kings to attend in ESWC Grand Finals later in June. 4K^Creolophus, 4K^Grubby (auto-berthed) and 4K^FoV are also qualified for the event. Their other members 4K^FuRy and 4K^Zeus should also have a good chance in qualifying.

When talking to some of the attendants at the qualifier, they say it was handled pretty badly. Not at all a good location, and not a single game was shown on the big screen. The administrators prioritated Counter-Strike and other FPS games over WarCraft 3. However two gamers are qualified, and that's mainly the point with the qualifer. Below you can see all the players that have qualified for ESWC 2006 so far.
Much thanks to Keni for information abut the event!
