Grubby, winner of WCG 2004 is one of the absolute favourites. When talking to GosuGamers he himself thought he had a better shot this year compared to the last one.
- I feel more confident against each race, he says.

We caught up with Grubby outside the player area yesterday (Tuesday) and asked him a number of questions. We sat inside a sponsor booth with a beautiful Taiwanese lady who gave us tea to drink. We did not really want it, we just wanted some more piece and quiet and a place to sit, but she was so friendly. Grubby was professional as always and also very friendly. He tells us about his trip to Monza that took a couple of hours.
- We took a 2-hour-flight so it was alright, but we had a bit of trouble finding the player hotel, so we arrived pretty late yesterday.

He won 2004 defeating Zacard in the Grand Final. The second year he was the title defender, somthing that he feels as negative.
- It is less pressure as the title defender, he says. He also says that all the eyes will be on Sky this year but he is not so sure that the Chinese Human player will win again.
- He is one of the clear favourites but I would not be surprised if he does not win. Sky is in Group E with Rob and Zeus so he should have quite a treat.

(Exported 2006-10-19 11:40:15) SourceGrubby has quite a nice group, according to himself. He mentions the Brazilian player PaTo as one of the stronger in his group.
- He is an experienced player, I think he will advance with me with me being on top. I know the other players as well but I do not think they are good enough to advance.
He has been doing some guessings on what players he think he will be facing in the first playoff round. It depends on Group P, but he thinks that most likely it will be Paladyn and ElakeDuck.
- I would rather plaz Paladyn I think since ElakeDuck is a better player, he says. Then if he advances from there he might face his clanmate Creolophus, or perhaps Moon-Glade.

People have been complaining about the maps, but Grubby thinks they are alright.
- Thez are the maps that everybody have played the most so I am actually quite okay with them. He does not plan to switch races or anything on specific maps, he will go Orc all the way.
- I do not think that will be necessary this time.

4Kings have a total of four representatives here at WCG - Grubby, ToD, Zeus and Creolophus - and Grubby believes that all of them have a good chance in reaching far.
- We are all in a good shape so we could really do some damage. He likes to remind us though that he thinks it is dangerous to do too many predictions, but they have all good chances of advancing from their groups.

“GoStop has got a good record in offlinen tournaments but I really do not see him as one of the best.

”Even if World Cyber Games is the most interesting topic, we could not help ourselves asking about their recent lineup changes. The Korean superstar FoV playing Undead has left the clan for the Chinese organization wNv. Grubby thinks it is very sad, but that he understands his choice.
- He was a close member, one of the core ones in 4Kings, but it was probably the best for him. He says that he had been wanting to go sooner or later anyway. He will get a better sponsor deal and support with going to China, a country more and more gamers are going to enjoy the flourishing fresh scene of WarCraft.

Replacing FoV in the 4Kings lineup will be very hard. According to Grubby there is really no Undead player who can replace him. But this is not their biggest concern since they have five players already - Grubby, ToD, Creolophus, Zeus and FuRy. The latter mentioned FuRy is playing Undead just like FoV but he thinks that he needs to step up a level or two.
- I think in a certain way this might be a good chance for FuRy to get in the top lineup and be an important player for the team. It has a lot to do with the motivation and priorities, he says. A good chance to improve and maybe reach to the level of FoV, but Grubby cannot really see any player to live up the the skill of FoV. Not even when looking at players from other teams.
- We always keep our eyes open for new players who might fit in the tema but right now we don not have anyone in perspective, he tells.

When asked on what he thought of the Koreans this year, he tells that Soju and GoStop are really underrated in the Korean scene.
- They never get to be in the spotlight, but Soju has actually qualified for WCG twice and that has to mean something, he says and explains that if Soju plays as good as he did in the qualifier then will have a very good chance.
The second player of Korea - GoStop - he does not really see as a player who could reach Top 3.
- He has got a good record in offlinen tournaments but I really do not see him as one of the best, he says but reminds us that they are both underrated.

He has been in a bit of a slump but you should never count Moon out in an event like this, I certainly do not”

Last but not least we brought up the upcoming SuperFight showmatch that Grubby has been invited to. He will play his nemesis MYM]Moon in a best of three match where 10,000 dollars is at stake. But it is not only the money that is on the paper - also prestige.
- It is the inevitable showdown between us, it has been played and replayed, Grubby says. He explains that it has been cooling down and people are wondering if Moon still has what it takes. He answered that question himself with a respectable voice for the Night Elf Korean.
- Of course he does. He has been in a bit of a slump but you should never count Moon out in an event like this, I certainly do not, he adds. Grubby thinks it is interesting they invited them both again.

He thinks that this SuperFight might be the start of the rebirth of WarCraft gaming in Korea. It has been kind of dying, but with this it seems like some new life has been blown back in to that country, says Grubby.
- I think it is really nice; the prize, the setup, I am gonna do my best for it. The record between the two are quite even. The last game they played eachother was in the GG-Client RaceWars where Grubby won with 2-0. Before that they played eachother twice in the WC3L playoffs, where both of them won a best of three match each. Before that it was in USA at the V-sports Allstars event where they tied 1-1. But the most intersting showdown between Moon and Grubby was in WEG Masters where Grubby defeated Moon.
- It will be very exciting.
