GosuGamers reported that it might had to do with the upcoming SuperFight against Moon, as he played Human and Undead instead. GosuGamers contacted Creolophus about the matter and received the following answer:
- I think there's too much at stake in the superfight match compared to the first round of Extreme Masters, so there was no reason to give out any games versus Night Elf this close to the event, he says. Creolophus also says that Grubby is a very good random player, but that in the end DIDI8 played things better.
Creolophus' opponent was the Czech player hum4nic. The Norwegian Night Elf star did a thorough analysis of his opponent by watching replays and thought of what to do.
- I felt pretty confident about this strategy and he also said he didn't play much after World Cyber Games.
The Nordic players did quite good in the first round. ElakeDuck, Ciara, SunShinE and LiiLD.C won their matches. The only Nordic player who lost (apart from the ones playing against other Nordic players) was SaSe who lost surprisingly against Firestrike. The Swedish player LiiLD.C says that he rates ElakeDuck as the strongest Swedish player in the league, now that SaSe lost.
- I would say I rate SaSe as the strongest but after losing to Firestrike I would rather rate ElakeDuck as the strongest because of his race and the manner.
LiiLD.C himself won against ThomasG earlier today, which puts him in the top of the group together with Miou. LiiLD.C thinks he has a good chance of advancing. He feels that the group is rather boring because of the Night Elf mirror matches and the Humans. His next opponent is TitaN a player who he respects but he thinks he will win.
- I think I will win but it will be very tough - mirror match again and he practices a lot, he tells GosuGamers.
