As the Group Stage ended yesterday, 16 players made it to the Playoffs of the CEG in Wuhan, China. After a hectic day, only the Grand Final remains to be played between Sai and FoV.
As the Elimination Stage of the Chinese eSports Games in Wuhan kicked off today, it was without the golden boy of Chinese Warcraft - WE.Sky. The Human player did not manage to advance from his group, ending behind Colorful.LL and WE.TeD. One who definetly impressed the crowd was Colorful's Orc player Wulin, who ended second in Group A, knocking the star wNv.xiaOt. He then continued to perform well in the Playoffs as he took down both the World Elite players KeDa and TeD before going down against BeT.FoV.
The only non-Asian participant was fnatic.RotterdaM. The Dutch Orc player, who is temporarily living in China, had a tough group but managed to end second behind the Night Elf player WE.KeDa. In the first round of the Elimination Stage he lost to WE.suhO and was thereby eliminated from the tournament.
Prize Money
1st: 20,000 RMB (~2630 USD)
2nd: 10,000 RMB (~1315 USD)
3rd: 5,000 RMB (~660 USD)Now, only the Grand Final remains to be played. The two who made it this far are wNv.Sai and FoV. The Korean visitor knocked out his two countrymen BeT.Sweet and SK.ReMinD facing Wulin. His final adversary, Sai, seems to have had a somewhat easier way to the Grand Final, though he impressively defeated WE.suhO in a close Night Elf mirror game.
