To survive co-op encounters in Absolum, maintain physical distance from your partner to split enemy focus and prevent wide area attacks from striking both characters at once. Successful co-op play requires alternating aggro rhythmically, staggering defensive cooldowns, and securing safe windows before attempting revives.

Co-Op Spacing and Positioning

Avoid overlapping hitboxes with your partner. In Absolum, enemies frequently unleash wide sweeps and projectile volleys that punish grouped targets.

• Screen Positioning: Position your hero on the opposite side of the screen or maintain a diagonal angle relative to your partner. This forces enemy AI to divide its focus and creates safe space for one player to heal or reposition.
• Spacing Adjustments: Adjust your spacing based on room layout. If your partner engages in melee, remain at a distance unless you can safely interrupt targets with ranged abilities.
• Scouting Peripheral Threats: Staying outside the primary melee cluster lets you watch peripheral enemies for incoming telegraphed attacks that your partner might miss.
